A Webinar for Older Adults, Caregivers and Those with Disabilities
With the November 5 General Election just a few months away, Know Your Rights – A Webinar for Older Adults, Caregivers and Those with Disabilities is an opportunity to learn more about your voting rights and the rights of people you care for.
This free virtual event takes place Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 1 p.m. and is open to all. There will be time for questions and topics will include:
ü Voting Methods: Ways to vote and overcoming voting barriers
ü Voting Rights and Options: For those in long-term care facilities, group homes, and for individuals with cognitive issues
ü Caregiver Assistance in Voting: Allowable assistance in voting booths and mail-in voting support
ü Understanding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): What are the ADA requirements and actions to take if a building is not following necessary ADA regulations

If you use the Access Link paratransit service, NJ Transit wants your feedback! NJ Transit invites Access Link paratransit users to complete the Spring 2024 Access Link Customer Satisfaction Survey. The survey can be completed on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
People who complete the Access Link survey and provide their contact information will earn 250 NJ Transit (NJT) Rewards points and will also be entered into an NJ Transit drawing to win a Free Monthly Pass or $100 Gift Card.

VIP with DDD
During the 2023 NJ Youth Transition Conference, we are offering a unique opportunity for individuals and families to schedule one-on-one time to ask questions and seek guidance from a DDD representative about the transition process and navigating the DDD service system.
A DDD team member will spend approximately 20 minutes with each individual/family.
Registration is required and registration links will be posted in September 2023.
PREREQUESITE NOTE:
It is asked that registrants first attend the "Navigating the DDD Service System" presentation scheduled for Monday, October 16th at 1:00 PM prior to scheduling an individualized session with DDD. This is so people and their family members have some familiarity with the DDD service system. Attending the prerequired session will allow DDD to use your time together more effectively.
